Withdrawal Delayed
A slow withdrawal almost always has a specific, identifiable cause — and in most cases it is one of five things. None of them are the operator being difficult, and four of the five are fixable by you. Working through this list in order will usually tell you exactly where yours is stuck.
1. FICA verification is not complete
This is the most common cause of a slow first withdrawal, by a wide margin. South African law requires identity verification before a payout, and until your documents are approved the request cannot be processed.
Check whether your documents have been submitted and accepted — submitted is not the same as approved. Rejected documents are usually rejected for something small: a photo with a cut-off corner, a proof of address older than the accepted window, or a blurry ID.
The fix that prevents this entirely is doing it at registration. See what FICA needs and why documents get rejected.
2. A bonus is still active
You generally cannot withdraw while bonus funds are in play — and that includes your own deposit, which is the part people do not expect.
Either complete the wagering requirement or forfeit the bonus, which releases your cash and loses anything won with it. Most cashiers show wagering progress somewhere; if you cannot find it, support can tell you how much remains. See how wagering is calculated.
3. The name does not match
Winnings pay only to a method in the account holder's own name. If your bank account is in a maiden name, a shortened first name, or differs by a middle name from what you registered with, the payout stops until it is resolved.
This is a regulatory requirement rather than an operator policy, so there is no route around it — but it is quick to fix once identified.
4. Banking windows and the method
Payouts follow bank processing hours. A request submitted late on a Friday clears more slowly than one on a Tuesday morning, through nobody's fault.
Method matters too. Fast pay-by-bank and EFT payouts are typically quickest; card refunds clear through the card networks and take longer. See how each method behaves.
5. Below the minimum, or a security review
A request under the method's minimum withdrawal simply will not process. Check the threshold in the cashier.
Occasionally an account is flagged for review — unusual play patterns, a new payout method, or a large first withdrawal. It is routine and it resolves, but it adds time.
One thing that is never legitimate: nobody should ask you to pay a fee to release a withdrawal. No licensed operator charges one. If you receive that request, it is a scam and it is not coming from your bookmaker — contact the operator through the official app rather than any link you were sent.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my first withdrawal so much slower than later ones?
Because FICA verification usually has to complete first. It is a one-off legal requirement and the single most common cause of a slow first payout. Submitting documents at registration removes the wait entirely.
Can I withdraw while I have a bonus active?
Generally not, and that includes your own deposit. You either complete the wagering requirement or forfeit the bonus to release your cash, losing anything won with it. Check your wagering progress in the cashier.
My bank account name is slightly different. Does that matter?
Yes. Winnings pay only to a method in the account holder's own name, so a maiden name, shortened first name or missing middle name will stop the payout. It is a regulatory requirement, but quick to fix once identified.
Someone asked me to pay a fee to release my winnings. Is that normal?
No, it is a scam. No licensed operator charges a fee to release a withdrawal. Do not pay it and do not share further details. Contact the operator through the official app or website, never through the link or number you were sent.
